It's Official

Today I got an official phone call from the person who is coordinating the Ms. wheelchair Minnesota contest. She told me that I was picked to be a contestant, which is great news! Now I just have to prepare my 1 1/2-2 min. speech on my platform. I am choosing to talk about educating children about people with disabilities because I think that's where it starts. This is a great opportunity for me. The winner goes on to nationals to the Ms. wheelchair America contest. It is held sometime in the first week of August.

Click here to visit the webpage that shows the time and place of the contest on April 11.

Congratulations Jenni! That is so exciting and sounds like it will be fun. I have had the opportunity to lots of Disability Awareness classes with elementary school age children over the years and find it both enjoyable and very beneficial to the kids. Good luck to you with the Ms. Wheelchair contest. I look forward to reading about your experience with the competition. By the way....I am enjoying your blog very much!
